Ben Affleck and his ex, Jennifer Garner, share three kids, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 11. Affleck and Garner parted ways in 2015 after being married for ten years. The couple officially divorced on April 13, 2017.
After the divorce, Affleck moved on with Jennifer Lopez, whom he married on July 17, 2022. Now, Garner and Affleck amicably co-parent their three kids. The two show up for them on their special occasions, such as birthdays and school events.
Affleck and Garner’s youngest child, Samuel, was born on February 27, 2012, in Los Angeles, California. At the time, Affleck shared on his Facebook timeline that Garner had given birth to a healthy baby boy whom they named Samuel Garner Affleck.
Garner and Affleck’s kids are used to the paparazzi due to the celebrity status of their parents. However, they do not like being followed and photographed without consent. Garner said out of her three kids, Samuel hates the paparazzi the most. But that was only one of his two most hated things. The other is being laughed at.
The actress told her son they must learn to live their best life even with the paparazzi around because they had no way of making them go away. Garner assured Samuel that the photographers wouldn’t hurt him, but she noted that it was sad her son would have to get used to them. Samuel has mostly been raised out of the public’s eyes due to his feelings toward the paparazzi.

Besides raising beautiful kids together, Garner and Affleck would spend time with their friends when they were still a couple. One such friend is “Stillwater” star Matt Damon, whom Affleck said he has known for many years.
Damon and Affleck share a tight bond, and the latter admitted that they always rooted for each other’s success. In 2017, the “Gone Girl” star revealed that he liked winding down after a busy week by watching a New England Patriots game with his friend Damon. The actor said spending his Sundays with Damon was nice and relaxing.
The movie star also noted that he spent his holidays with Damon, his brother Casey Affleck, and their families. He added that when they all hung out together, Garner took cooking duty while he cleaned afterward.
When asked if there was any healthy rivalry between him, his brother, and Damon, Affleck said the group didn’t compete because they believed there was room for everybody.
Affleck also said her daughters were disappointed when the U.S. didn’t get its first woman president in 2016. He then joked that if there were ever room for an Affleck presidency, Damon would take the vice president seat.
Damon and Affleck’s bromance saw their families celebrate Thanksgiving together in 2014. Affleck said she was excited to spend Thanksgiving at Damon’s house because “Matt and my family are all like one big extended family…”
And now, besides a bromance that has lasted years, fans noticed an interesting detail about one of Affleck’s kids. Fans recently pointed out that Affleck and Garner’s son, Samuel, looked like Damon.
The 51-year-old and his son stepped out in Santa Monica on September 29, 2023. Samuel sat on the passenger seat of his dad’s Mercedes AMG EQS as Affleck drove. The two picked fast food at a Jack In The Box drive-thru before driving away.

Damon and Affleck have remained close friends even after his divorce. The two longtime friends support each other and have no competitive spirit between them.
